Frequently Asked Questions

What's a Fringe Festival?

We’re a multi-day performing arts festival in the heart of Sugar House, where artists from Salt Lake City and beyond come together to tell their stories. Our shows encompass theatre, dance, music, magic, comedy, and more. The Great Salt Lake Fringe is uncensored, unadjudicated, and unrestricted. Artists hold the power, and have the opportunity to create art that matters to them.

When is it?

Shows kick off on July 28, 2017 and run through August 6—but don’t miss our opening night party and artist preview on July 27th!

Where is it?

The Fringe takes place in the heart of Sugar House, close to a huge variety of shops and restaurants. Our shows take place in two primary locations: Westminster College and the Fringe Factory (2234 S Highland Drive). See our Directions page to find out how to get there!

How much is it?

Festival admission is $5, and tickets range from $7-10 each, with cheaper tickets for buying in bulk. See our Ticketing page for more info.

I have a show! How can I participate?

Our application opens in early spring each year, and shows are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
