SYNOPSIS: EK, a pacific islander from Hawaii, decides to take a trip to the Mainland (to the state of Utah of all places) and Covid-19 virus hits. The world goes into quarantine mode and EK is not allowed to go back home to Hawaii. What does a land locked pacific islander do while waiting out this pandemic? I guess you go to work at an Air BnB located in good old Happy Valley Utah... wow. Follow along with EK (in five 10 minute episodes) and see what daily run-ins EK copes with as an Air BnB worker. ARTIST BIO: Known as "EK" in the stand up comedy community, EK is originally from the islands of Hawaii. Raised by parents of Hawaiian and Philippine ancestry, this self proclaimed "HA-Lipino" (pronounced Ha-le-pi-no) developed as skill in entertaining people at a very early age. After graduating from high school, EK joined the military and got to see the what was on "the other side of the pond". While serving in the Air Force, EK would hit up various night clubs off base and talk the owners into doing time at the mic on his off duty time. After his time with the military was up, EK worked as a fulltime medic with the fire department, but his love for comedy/entertainment was his passion so EK would be constantly working at his love by hitting the stage at different venues and events. EK has emceed and opened for various notables as Weird Al, George Lopez, Louie Anderson, and even with the late great Ray Charles. EK is continually working on various virtual project shows like the one been showed on the Great Salt Lake Fringe 2021, in fact this will be the second time EK has been working with the Great Salt Lake Fringe.
