Forms to fill out

Artist Contract

This is the agreement between the performing artist and the Great Salt Lake Fringe. You must complete and return this contract before you will be assigned a venue and scheduled in the festival.

This form gives us your Taxpayer Identification Number—either your company’s EIN, if you’re registered as a business, or your personal Social Security Number. We need this so we can send you a Form 1099 for your taxes next year (if your earnings total more than $600).

Marketing Your Show

The Fringe is full of incredible shows, but some of them get tiny audiences, while others play to packed houses every day. It is absolutely possible to sell out your Fringe show, and many performances even sell out in advance. The area where so many otherwise amazing shows fail is in their marketing. You’ve put so much time and effort into creating your show—now make sure people actually see it by utilizing our marketing tips and strategies!

As artists, you are responsible for your ticket sales. If you have not yet made a Facebook event and added the Fringe as a co-host, we highly recommend doing so. (Note: you can only add a co-host if you create the event from a page, not a personal profile.) We will share your Instagram story tags, retweet your tweets, and share your Facebook event, but at the end of the day it is your responsibility to advertise your show (and hopefully to do so creatively). This is especially important because as we obtain press coverage for the Fringe as a whole, we can’t recommend any specific shows over any others, so media will usually reach out to the most visible shows to cover in their articles.
